In recent weeks and months several of us at Wellspring have alluded to the revival that broke out in Lakeland, FL in early April and has continued, until very recently, to be a source of healing and blessing to many from all over the world. About a week ago news began to emerge from Lakeland that Todd Bentley, the individual whom God has used to lead the revival, is stepping down and that his marriage is experiencing difficulties. Because we have spoken favorably about the meetings in Lakeland I wanted to address this news.

We’re grateful for all the new faces at Wellspring. We are in the process of improving our ability to connect with everyone. If you would like to be part of the welcome ministry, we’d love to talk to you. Please contact Scott Speer at 860-8287592 or email him at sdspeer@netzero.net.
Beginning Wednesday, July 2nd at 7:00 p.m. Wellspring and three other area congregations will co-sponsor weekly gatherings at Wellspring for worship, intercession and opportunities for ministry. These are not preaching or teaching meetings, though there may be the occasional exhortation or word of prophecy. We simply are seeking to create a venue to host the Lord’s presence.

Wellspring has been given the opportunity to partner with Lincoln School to run a mentoring program for the second graders beginning with the new school year in the fall. Imagine, in the time it takes to watch a one-hour television show you can make a major difference in a child’s life.
Become a mentor! Become a mentor! Become a mentor!
Our Training Sessions were successful - There were 2 three hour training sessions and 30 people were in attendance. Now is the time for anyone who took the class and has an interest in being considered for the mentoring program to return the application that was handed out. We would like these back by 7/15 so that we can move onto the next step which is background checks. Please feel free to give them to any trainer, Linda Briggs, Judy Davis or Nancy Quiles or leave them in the office and they will be forwarded. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Quiles (203-639-1392, nananpapi@cox.net), Linda Briggs (860-621-8509, Linda.briggs@cox.net) or Judy Davis (860-223-8281, judypray@mail.com) for more information.
